Chris Nigro

Greetings, comrades! My name is Christopher Rocco Nigro, but please, call me Chris. Born and raised an Italian-American in a family of four, I'm currently an aspiring professional actor with a BA in theatre and a minor in music from the valiant Manhattanville College! But let's take a step back for a moment, shall we?

Once upon a time, young, shy, ten-year-old Chris decided to audition for his elementary school musical, "Guys and Dolls." He landed himself the role of a crapshooter and had so much fun that he wanted to audition for the musical the following year. In a world full of surprises, young Chris earned himself his first lead role as Oliver Warbucks in the musical "Annie!" He became so inspired and determined to achieve his dream of becoming an actor that he kept on auditioning for musicals along the way, including "Aladdin," "The Wizard of Oz", "Les Misérables," and "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown." He also experimented with a few plays like "The Caucasian Chalk Circle," "3 Winters," "Sense and Sensibility," "On the Head of a Pin," "As You Like It," and "Much Ado About Nothing."

Now here he is quite some time later and still keeping the dream alive! In all seriousness, I am at home when I'm onstage or in front of the camera. Other things that I'm passionate about include weightlifting, taekwondo, singing, rapping, and beatboxing. I was also a tenor vocalist in Manhattanville's male a cappella group, the CrescendBros, as well as their all-inclusive group, the X & Y Chromotones! I currently take one-on-one vocal lessons at my local musical theatre company!

Some additional cool little things you should know is that I'm a huge film and TV buff and I love video games. In other words, I'm kind of a nerd, but hopefully that's part of the appeal! I'm into acting for the fun and comradery just as much as I'm in it for the grind. I want to work with people who are serious in their craft but are also open to forming bonds through common interests, so those are a few of mine!
